As owner and managing partner of the Joynes and Gaidies Law Group since 1988, Mike Joynes has proven himself to be a staple of necessity in North Carolina and Hampton Roads. His area of practice is utterly devoted to personal injury and has been accepted to the Virginia Bar as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit in 1986. Mike Joynes has a history of education that begins with Hampden-Sydney College in 1981 where he obtained a B.A. with an Economics major; in 1984 he attended Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law with a Doctor of Jurisprudence, and in 1985 he graduated from the College of William and Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law with a Masters of Law in taxation.
John B. Gaidies
Mr. Gaidies practices in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, toxic torts, contract litigation, insurance law, bad faith litigation and appellate advocacy. He is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Norfolk/Portsmouth Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Gaidies is a graduate of the College of William and Mary (B.A. 1966) and the Marshall-Wythe School of Law (J.D. 1969) where he was on the William and Mary Law Review and the National Moot Court Team. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Virginia Supreme Court the U.S. Court of Military Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit, the U.S District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Mr. Gaidies has taught continuing legal education seminars on the subjects of Personal Injury Case Management for Seasoned Litigators, An Insider’s Look at Gaining the Best Settlement in Auto Injury Cases in Virginia, How to Successfully Resolve Automobile Injury Cases, Settling Uninsured and Under-insured Motorist Claims, and Uninsured and Under-insured Motorist Law in Virginia. He served in the Judge Advocate General Corps in the U.S. Navy on Active Duty from 1969 – 1974, and has been in active civil practice since 1974 to the present
Manolita Akiko Holadia
Ms. Holadia’s services are completely dedicated to personal injury litigation. She has been admitted to the bar in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., U.S. District Court Eastern Division of Virginia, U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit and the Virginia Supreme Court, but maintains an active practice only in Virginia courts. She graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1986 with a B.A. in History and from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in 1992. She served as the President of the Lynnhaven Kiwanis Club in 2003 and has been the Community Services Chairman of that club since 1996. She served on the Board of the Samaritan House from 1996 – 1999 as well as a past member of the NAACP Legal Redress Committee. She is on the Board of Directors for the Port Alliance Federal Credit Union, the Board of Directors for the Asian Business Association of Hampton Roads, and she is member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, Virginia State Bar Diversity Conference, Virginia State Bar Bench Bar Relations Committee and Virginia Beach Bar Association. She recently was a National Business Institute speaker for Advanced Auto Litigation and a speaker for VTLA. In the 2017 fall semester, she is going to be an Adjunct Professor in the Business Department of Old Dominion University.
Halbert T. Dail
Mr. Dail, born in Norfolk, Virginia, graduated from Princess Anne High School, attended the College of William and Mary- VPI, received his B. A. Degree from Old Dominion University, and his Juris Doctor Degree from the College of William and Mary in 1968. When he commenced his practice of law in Norfolk, VA., Mr. Dail soon became a partner in the firm of Kanter, Kanter, and Dail. He then practiced law in all State and Federal courts in Eastern, Virginia, as a partner or in his own firm, for forty years until he joined Joynes & Gaidies in 2009, where he does a general practice of law for the firm’s clients/handling Workers’ Compensation claims, Wills and Estate Planning, Domestic Relations, Criminal and Traffic Matters, and Personal Injury claims. In 2014 Mr. Dail will complete his 46th years practice of law, giving our clients the full benefit of his long experience.
